Industrial systems efficiency training
Need to upskill and gain up to date knowledge of motor system efficiency?
We work closely with the University of Waikato and EMANZ to develop and promote courses relating to efficiency in motor systems and process heat. Courses are designed for business managers, and industrial systems consultants. They include:
- Webinars (general information on the latest technologies)
- One-day workshops for managers training
- Advanced education courses for consultants

Free webinars
A quick, easy and free way to keep up to date with the latest technologies. These show case studies and demonstrate how you can get started or improve your existing system.
You can pick the topic you are interested in, register and dial-in from wherever you are. Each webinar is 1 hour long and is presented by Dr Martin Atkins, Dr Michael Walmsley and Dr James Neale from University of Waikato.

Previous webinars are available on the University of Waikato website. Further webinars will to be listed shortly.
Manager training
A series of 1-day workshops, which provide practical instruction to factory-based management and technical staff. All workshops are based on best practice energy efficiency opportunities for pump, fan and compressed air systems.
Attendees will leave with an ability to identify system efficiency opportunities and to work confidently with skilled service providers to realise the efficiency opportunities available from the particular technology covered.
In each case, a full systems approach is used to provide a sound understanding of best practice efficiency opportunities for the system concerned. Real industrial case studies and laboratory exercises are used to strengthen the learning experience.

Advanced education for consultants
Three courses are offered to provide advanced level instruction for consultants working with industry on industrial systems energy efficiency. Courses are available covering compressed air, pumping, fan and process heat systems.
Each course consists of a combination of ‘distance learning' and a 4-day block of classes and laboratory sessions at the University of Waikato - School of Engineering in Hamilton.
The courses take a full systems approach covering theory; systems design and auditing; and efficiency opportunity identification and implementation. There is a 'hands-on' approach to learning, using custom designed laboratory facilities and real industry case studies and site visits.
