How to apply for an audit

These are the steps you need to follow to apply for an energy audit grant:

  • Contact your EECA account manager or email audits@emprove.org.nz
  • Get a quote from a qualified energy auditor - seek at least two quotes if the audit is likely to cost over $20,000.
  • Send us your completed application form (below) with the quote from your auditor. If your application is approved, we will issue a contract committing us to
  • paying the grant funding.
  • Ask the auditor to do the audit and complete the database information sheet. When they’ve done it, send a copy of the audit report and database information sheet to EECA.
  • You need to draw up an action plan showing how you will implement the audit’s recommendations.
  • When we receive your action plan and audit report, we’ll reimburse you the grant amount agreed in the contract.
