How to apply for a Fleet Check grant

The first step is to get a quote from an approved consultant from a list we will provide. Then you send us your application form and we’ll let you know whether or not your project meets the funding criteria.

If your project is approved, we will give you written confirmation of our commitment to pay up to half of the audit bill.

Your consultant would then do the audit and provide us with a copy of the report, along with summaries. This will remain confidential and be used for EECA’s national energy and fuel use statistics.

You will need to present a plan that shows you have taken the audit’s recommendations on board. It should monitor fleet practices, such as vehicle use, driver training, vehicle maintenance and fuel consumption.

To get a list of approved consultants and the application form, call 0800 367768, or email fleets@eeca.govt.nz
