Fuel management advisor training programme

To help build fuel efficiency capability in the heavy transport sector, EECA BUSINESS runs a Fuel Management Advisor (FMA) training programme.

The programme has been designed to increase the knowledge and skills of those working with heavy vehicle fleets, to enable them to identify fuel savings opportunities and implement a fuel saving programme for large fleets and provide mentoring to operators participating in the EECA BUSINESS Fuel Efficient Fleet Workshop programme for medium to small size fleets.

EECA BUSINESS is seeking applications from individuals wishing to undertake the training to become Fuel Management Advisors.

The training programme consists of:

  • a three-day training course
  • mentoring through the first fleet fuel management review, development of an action plan and implementation of a fuel efficiency programme with a fleet operator
  • ongoing support from EECA's fuel management support team following the course.

FMAs can access funding from EECA BUSINESS to help operators improve their fleet's fuel efficiency.

To be eligible for the training, you must meet minimum selection criteria and participate in an interview with EECA staff.

The next course is is tentatively booked for the 6-8th of August in Wellington or Auckland.
