Save money on energy use

Energy savings go straight to the bottom line, helping businesses become more competitive and productive. Not only does energy management help reduce overheads, it can also strengthen your brand and reputation, helping improve relationships with customers, suppliers, staff, investors and the community.

Many businesses have found that getting started managing energy is not complex and expensive. In fact, many savings can be found with little or no up-front cost. EECA’s analysis of energy audits shows that most businesses can save at least 20% of their energy costs – 10% through simple low and no-cost changes (a payback of 12 months or less) and a further 10% with some investment (payback of 1 – 5 years).

  • An energy audit is a good place to start.  The audit will identify where your business can make the most cost-effective improvements. Typically for every $1 invested in an audit, $7.50 worth of energy efficiency savings are identified.
