Replacing coal pays off for Whakatane Mill
Whakatane Mill used to burn about 12,000 tonnes of coal a year.
After a major upgrade, it can burn coal, natural gas or biomass – part of an energy management programme expected to save 35GWh and 11,900 tonnes of carbon a year.
